powerpc-ibm-utils software package provides utilities for maintenance of IBM PowerPC platforms, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install powerpc-ibm-utils
powerpc-ibm-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the powerpc-ibm-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep powerpc-ibm-utils *
You will get with powerpc-ibm-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
